GUEST BOOK

Well, I just discovered that when we left Palladio's View in February I inadvertently locked up our guest comment book, so the book contains no comments between then and our recent visit to St. John. However, I thought I might include here an exchange of messages concerning PV that recently appeared on www.tripadvisor.com:

June 2, 2007: "I'm thinking about Palladio's View for a July visit ...... has anyone stayed there? I'm not sure if they have any air conditioning - is that something that I will need or are the breezes sufficient for that time of year? (the villa is on a cliffside.) Thanks!" [DG note: the villa is on a steep hillside, not a cliff.]

June 23, 2008: "Bumping (into) this thread as we are considering for holidays this year ... anyone know anything about this villa. Thanks."

June 25, 2008: "My wife and I, along with another couple stayed there two years ago and will be there again in August. Beaufiful place with 2 equal bedrooms. The view from the expansive deck is breathtaking. We love the place."

June 26, 2008: "4 of us stayed at Palladio's View over Thanksgiving week 2007! Beautiful home with the most amazing views!!!! Well appointed - the bathrooms have outdoor tile/stone showers and the master shower looked out over the water. The pictures on-line do not portray how wonderful this house is. The road up is steep but well worth it for the views, breezes and peace and serenity. We really enjoyed listening to music on the deck at night while we grilled dinner, fabulous sunrises, beautiful rainbows - one afternoon we saw three arching rainbows all at once - and late afternoon dips in the pool and hot tub stargazing. There are no street lights up on the mountainside at Palladio's, so when you turn off the house lights the number of stars you see at night (shooting stars too - but not due necessarily to the number of delicious rum concoctions we consumed) are amazing. We have been going to St. John almost yearly since 2001 and have used Great Caribbean Getaways many times and will use them again."

June 26, 2008: "I don't have much more to add, but I talked some friends who were having a special wedding anniversary into going to STJ, and they just got back from Palladio's View. She was extremely pleased with it. She said she could have sat on the veranda and watched that view forever. I asked about the lack of a/c, and she said they didn't know until the greeter told them, but she said they never needed it. Good breezes all the time, had to sleep with something over them. She said the driveway up was indeed somewhat grueling, so they tried to consolidate their trips to make it as few times as possible. But she said she'd go back in a hearbeat. Hope you have a great time!"

Fantastic place! We couldn't have asked for a better family vacation. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. ... We have visited a different beach every day & enjoyed the pool and hot tub every evening. We have had a stress-free, no-worries type trip! It was amazing; we hope to be back soon.
